Re: monitor flashes POWER SAVING MODE.. monitor dosnt...
A quick Google tells me this is a VGA analog interface monitor.
Have you another monitor to test with, to see if the problem is the PC or the monitor.
If another monitor works (esp. a CRT) your L1730s may still be fine. Set the refresh rate of the graphics adapter to 60HZ. then test your LCD again.
Some monitors just blank the screen when they get a refresh rate they cannot handle.

Hi erin mckinle,
That is probably it's, uh, analog power saving mode. When the screen goes black and the power button flashes, make some mouse gestures or hit some keys that would not affect anything (try spacebar). That should bring up the screen. If you think it goes into power saving mode too fast, go to Control Panel --> Power Options, and change the values. Hope this helps.
If its going to analog power saving mode, that is what its supposed to do when it does not get a recognizable connection from a computer vga port. I would suggest coming back on with some more information about your computer and suggest testing another screen on your pc.
Hi, I think your signal Cable is not connected properly.please check. Is your computer booting. Can you see HDD acivity LED blinking in your CPU? This should solve your problem.Best of Luck. Please rank me appropriately. If you want any clarification, Please get back to me
i fixed this problem by unplugging the monitor, unplugging the video cables. Then hold down the power button while plugging it back in. Release power button and then press power button for on. It worked then. I got the icon for no signal, i plugged back in my monitors. Sceptre X9W
