Problem with Pixelview TV Tuner

You can record movies on a PVR from cable and I'm sure that there are devices that can record over-the-air signals as well. The problem with cable is that the signal is encrypted and it is not easily recorded, thus the need for a PVR. I have recorded movies to my computer after attaching the over-the-air cable to TV Tuner, either a card inside your computer or via USB.

Your CPU uasge has Maxes to the maximium ie 100% from the task manager performance tab, when you are recording a video through the TV Tuner card.

There is nothing to do to further improve your PC performance except you can get a better configuration on graphic PC.

Please configure the recording software to record from TV tuner audio device. It should not be you line In for your PC.

while recording from th TV tuner card you have to check that the line in is unmuted. You can do this from the volume mixer recording section

Try unmuting the linein this is a general issue for this type of tuner cards

You were not too clear on the problem, but if you mean playback, then a very good program is PowerDVD. It will access the files stored (Pinnacle and other capture devices, store the files as .mpg typed, NOT DVD .vob files.) Software like AVS video Converter, can create the DVD formatted disks; trial is free download.

i m having pixelview tv tuner card since last 4 years and i just use to watch tv occasionaly last week when i was watching a movie i tried to capture it i was amazed to see that just one minute movie had 700 mb of space in my hard disc it is saving the film in avi format is there any solution so that it starts capturing in mpeg format becouse i dont have much space in my hard drive to capture half an hour movie like this please help me out
