You need to call Sony and tell them about the error..its like the RROD of Xbox360..a hardware failure,most likely with the lens mechanism..i had the same error too and had to pay up to get it repaired..hope your console is under warranty..all the best!regards!

Basically, what is occuring is the corruption of game disc recognition
and execution. If you will notice, in 90% of all cases, the drive will
still play DVD and even Blu Ray movies with no problems. When trying to
start a game however, the title, sooner or later, will receive the
error.
Hi, if your PS3 is reading DVD's and CD's, but NOT any type of BLUE-RAY
media.....95% sure it's a faulty laser. The Backwards compatible units
are equipped with a RED laser for DVD and CD reading. The Blue Ray
Diodes are faulty..especially in the earlier production models. This
was due to the shortage of parts during production, so SONY out sourced
from multiple producers of BR laser units.
My 80gb , 4 usb, Backwards combatibility unit started doing this. The
game froze, system became unresponsive, wouldn't show the the Disc ICON
in the XMB for PS3 games. When the games did load they would play for a
few mins then freeze, or error code 80010514 would appear.
I got the laser replaced by a reputable repairman, now the system works
without fault. It's been running for hours with no problems.
Get the lens replaced by either SONY or someone who knows what they are
doing....also give your PS3 a good dusting everyday. When the Laser
unit gets too hot the diodes malfunction and eventually fail.
the problem should not happen again. but with all equipment with a disc drive, it is possible that the disc drive will fail and need to be replaced.the ps3 is just another computer and there are no garuntees
your error means this according to what I could find out : 80010514 - Disc error detected. Retrying operation. Do your other games work. If so, then you may have a bad game disc. Or it may be scratched or dirty. If your other discs work, then I would try this game on someone elses unit, or check it for dirt/fingerprints. If that doesnt work, you could try a cd lens cleaner disc..it may help.
