Mom put a pair of her slacks in a sink to handwash, and her Jitterbug phone was in the pocket. I took the battery out, dried all with hairdryer and let sit overnight. Hooked up charger and left 6 hours on charge...still won't turn on. Any solutions?
Unfortunately for some reason the circuit boards in nearly all phones delaminate in contact with water and that makes them unrepairable. I am sure the manufacturers could find a solution but it is a usefull source of new phone sales so why should they bother!!
You can put the phone and battery seperatly in a bag of rice and leave it overnight. if this doesn't work then its too far gone

Most likely the water renered it useless for a while. Try drying it out more, DO NOT HEAT IT, or spray it at all. If you have a techy friend who would give it a shot, they could open up the phone and try cleaning away the corrosion that that water damage caused with contact spray or rubbing alchohol and a soft bristle toothbursh.

Hello,
The problem is a software problem.
All you have to do is to flash the phone with the appropriate software and cable.
The phone will be in good condition again.
Take care
SOURCE: I recently jumped into a pool with my cell phone
When phone gets wet NEVER try to turn it on. Take battery out right away shake water off and put both in bowl of rice for at least 24 hrs. If your not home or don't have rice right away take battery out and get some. We have a bowl of rice on the counter all summer long for those who jump in the pool with phone in their pocket. I have washed them dropped them in the toilet my son jumped in pool with his phone, put it rice for 24 hrs and we were up and running with the exception of the one in the pool, that one cost me new battery on Ebay ($4.95) but phone worked fine, didn't even lose contacts or pictures. But the key is to NOT try to turn it on after its been wet. Water and batteries don't mix.

Hey! My Sister has the same problem. T-Mobile said that it is the battery. There was a defect with some phone batteries. You can buy the samsung battery from T-Mobile for like 48$ of go to cellphoneshop.net to get it cheaper. works great and is cheaper to replace than 48$ samsung battery!!
