CD/DVD drive?

Some have a tiny hole, right under the tray that comes out. Use a paperclip in the hole to manually open the tray.

(Some desktop computer towers have a door in front, that needs to be eased open first, then access to the actual CD/DVD drive unit can be obtained)

My ibm intellistation z pro: nothing appears on the screen no ibm sign at start up no nothing also if i try to open the disk drive it won't open which seems weird

maybe a disc stuck in the drive? if you pull down outter door of disc drive (unless you can see the front of the disc tray already) there is a tiny hole on front of disc tray, large enough to get a paper clip wire into, that will release the tray and pop it open

There should ba a tiny hole on the front of the tray cover on the drive.
Switch off, get a paper clip or something about the same thickness and insert it carefully in to the hole, push it in until the tray opens.

Cd stuck reject button won't work

Look at the face plate of the CD drive, if it has a small hole located under the tray straighten out a paper cilp and stick it in the hole to preform a manual eject. Remove any disc inside and close it. Now try to open it normally. If it still does not work it is time to buy a new cd drive.

When I insert a DVD I get a noise when loading then after a while it stops and the DVD get stuck in the drives and won't play. It's as if the drive can't read the disk??

Sounds like there is a problem with the holders on the top of the dvd drive that is supposed to keep the discs in place so it prevents the noises from happening. They wear out after lots of gameplay. Easiest thing to do is to replace the dvd drive because to open it up and replace the holders could cause more damage to the drive.

Acer 4420 laptop.vista windows,d drive won't read data dvd or cd.says insert a blank disc, when i try to open the d drive

Take a can of air and blow some onto the laser of the drive so that way you know for sure its not dust or dirt on the laser that is causing it not to read.
After you do that if the drive still won't read any discs then you know the drive is bad and it'll have to be replaced.
