Question about Kodak EasyShare CX7330 Digital Camera
Pressing the shutter button does nothing! The green light is on, the batteries are fresh, I can make changes in the menu etc. but when I press the shutter button, nothing happens. I thought it had something to do with the battery cover which is loose (the spring just fell off) but I taped it tight and otherwise the batteries power up the camera. I don't get the low battery signal, which I did when I tried different batteries, so that shouldn't be the problem. Kodak was no help at all. I was thinking about ordering another battery cover just in case but while I was told it is "free" the S&H charge is $15! I'll do it if it's a good possible solution, but I have a feeling it won't help. Any ideas?
Whilst there may be another fault, replacing the battery cover is a good start and you need to eliminate all possible causes.
These cameras also only reliably run on Lithium batteries.
I've seen many sets of fresh alkaline batts not work, even though they show full power.
Lithiums are more expensive, but they last much longer than several sets of alkalines, which ends up being far greater $ value and you are not constantly changing batts.
Worth a try.

try charging your camera, if it hasn't been broken from the fall, hope it had a soft landing!
