SOURCE: Husqvarna 48" Lawn Tractor:

The link below for details of wiring. Assuming good connections at the battery and ground to frame. Your unit uses lots of 12v power for charging, lights and the electric clutch (must have good charging system to run this mower). There is a fuse between the amp meter and starter solenoid. If the fuse is open, the meter will not show charge or discharge. No start or even click would indicate that one of the safety cut-out switches is not engaging (seat, break/clutch etc.). Easy to test switches with meter (refer to wiring details at link below). The charging system is easy to test with meter. Once you get the engine running, test for 28volts ac (3600rpm) from two wires at the regulator (two wires from ac alterator under the flywheel of the engine). Then look for 12 to 14 volts dc at the output side of regulator. Good luck with repair

Husqvarna YTH20K46 no power. HELP!

Not turning off sounds like an ignition switch problem. Not starting - then I think you should check the Low Tension side of the solenoid again to make sure there is current from the switch. If the solenoid's OK, the battery's fully charged with all the connections clean and tight, then it has to be the starter motor or engine. Check you can turn the engine by hand, if so then I would guess, it's probably the starter motor.

I have a yth20k46 and when I turn the switch it won't turn over. I replaced the battery and spark plugs. what might be the problem

I also have a YTH20K46. During last mow (last week), I tried to turn off mower and would not turn off by key. I had to put it down to choke and then stand up. It created a backfire. Today I went to start it, now won't start. It does not turn over. Hour meter has no power. Tested battery & solenoid. Power to both. Key switch works fine. Any suggestions? Just had it serviced a few months ago. Oil, gas and all other things seem fine. Checked wiring, seems fine. Nothing melted or cut. Please help!

Husqvarna riding mower modle yth20k46 that move very slow

The link rod from the petal to the transmission straightened out at the rear bend. Take it off and bend it slightly further to make it go forward faster. The 1/2" nut above where the rod connects to the transmission is adjustable to set it where it doesn't move when your foot is off the petal. Loosen it a bit and you can move the petal slightly forward or backward to adjust it. Depending on how much you bent the rod it won't take much adjustment. Re-tighten and try it out. It may take a few tries. Good luck!

Husqvarna yth20k46 - When turning transmission does not work

I only had my mower 3 months and that problem started. I was told to change the drive belt, It got worse. Now the transmission will only drive the mower for about 15 min and will come to a complete stop. I have to let it sit about 30 min before the drive will work again. No solution yet but I'm looking at replacing the "sealed" drive assy. I do have a very healthy yard of St Augustine which is tough. I can mow a thinner yard a little longer.n
