check buffer boards for blown chips but before check main board for puffed up capacitors need to replace bad capacitors on main board usually 3300/100v ones bigger ones on board then check buffer boards for blown chips usually bottom buffer board
Here is a picture with the 1500uf cap circled in red. It really is best to replace all 7 capacitors with 25v parts not the original 16v ones, one later power supply builds they did this because the 16v caps failed to fast.
The cable or cutting head may be damaged. The power connections may be loose, an internal circuit breaker may have failed. If the cooling fan does not come on, check the wiring in the cabinet for damaged wires. Disconnect fan wires- noting where each connected and check to see if the fan burned out- if it did, replace the fan and it chould begin to work correctly. If the fan checks out okay- it will have 2 discrete sets of windings-one for the fan, the other to provide control voltage.Check that board with the rectifiers as a rectifier may have failed or there may be a fuse on the board.
If it were mine, I would check everything under the cabinet after it has been thoroughly blown clean.
Here is a picture of the power supply board from the Samsung HP-T4254 with the capacitors that need to be changed shown circled in yellow. You will need to replace all of the ones circled not jut part of them. There should be a total of 15 capacitors. If you need to get the parts contact [email protected]
If there was a loud popping noise, the odds are that an electrolytic capacitor blew. There should be ample evidence if you open it up and inspect the unit. DO NOT replace the board... it will cost 50 times what the blown part will cost. Do a close inspection of the board to look for damaged components. The electrolytic caps sound like a firecracker when they go off. Check the components around such a failure, especially diodes.
most of the time when a plasma cutter won't get power the cause is a blown capacitor on one of the boards.
High humidity sometimes causes this problem,be careful when messing or looking at any capacitors because they can hold a charge for days.
The replacement of a board is no TOO hard, just DRAW a Diagram of ALL connections when you take the "Old" one out. NEVER work on the machine live Duh, also always wait a bit to allow capacitors to discharge, or use a shorting stick, if in a hurry. Anyhow, make sure you keep all fixtures together note down all connections and label them with little stickers, With any other information on the stickers as need be. I always do this as one never remembers whats what after a bit, anyway. Just be methodical, and you will prevail.
same thing happened to my ilo. There are four capacitors that are bad
on the power board. You can usually tell its bad because at the top it
bulges out. Here is what you need to do. Unplug the tv, open up your
ilo find the power board ( the power cord plugs into it). Then find the
capacitors that are bad (they are the around things usually in blue
color) and remove them by soldering the other side. On mine there where
three 1000uf 16v and one 470uf 35v. Those are the ones that need
replacing. I replaced them with a higher voltage rating 1000uf 35v and
470uf 50v. All you need to do is solder them back on but make sure you
solder them back the right way (plus goes to plus on the board or you
will be in trouble). I found the capacitors at radio shack for about
1.50 a peice. If you dont know how to solder look it up on youtube. If
that does not work there might be couple more bad capacitors that need
replaceing just need to find them and you can tell by a small bulging
top.
Need a part number for the same part
