Red light is on the Iriver H-140 and it doesn't turn on.
I had my I river on the table nest to a cool mist humidifier accidentally all night long. When I woke up the Iriver would just turn on a red light and nothing would appear in the screen. This happened 3 months ago so the Iriver is completely dry inside. I even opened it up to double check that it is dry. How do I fix this problem or where can i send it to be repaired? Iriver has never responded to any of my emails.

According to the Crane's Troubleshooting section: The power light is green but there is no mist being emitted: - Check that there is water in the tank. - Check for possible lime deposits on the water level sensor or the nebulizer. - Make sure that nothing blocks the vapor output slots. - Check that the fan vent on bottom of humidifier is not blocked. - Empty the humidifier and rinse the water basin with cool tap water and allow to dry for 15 to 30 min.
This next part may or may not be relevant. Humidifier power light is staying red and not turning green. Or, Humidifier is working then stops: - Ensure that water level sensor is assembled properly. - Clean water float. - Call service center and request replacement water float.

Okay, I just started getting this same deal with my 7133 on it's third season. I found in a blog that if you hold down the button that controls the heat while turning the mist knob on, it resets the machine. It worked. The red light went green and I turned off the heat button for cool air and the upper light still stayed green. Fingers crossed this continues to work. good luck!
when i turn on my Iriver PMP-140 it comes up with a message reading Boot Failure System file has an error. To solve the problem, connect the device to computor. (refer to 'trouble shooting' on the manuel) Filmware Ver. 1.24 I dont have a manual though.
