Hi,
Am having a problem with my burner 'Optiarc Rw Dvd Ad- 7650a' in C700 compaq laptop
If I burn to disc the files on the hard drive or to an image file they are fine
But
If I burn to disc the files to a DVD they become either jumbled & are not playable on a DVD player or play out of sequence on the DVD
Using exactly the same software on another laptop the discs work out fine
Put the AD-7650 into my other laptop (where copy previously worked out fine) but now it has same problems again.
This leads me to think problem is with 'AD-7650A' so I am asking if:
1. You know a solution
2. There is a firmware update I could try
O/S Windows Vista Home on both laptops
Thanks
BW

Hello,
Is this a windows XP or Vista unit? You are getting that because either the driver is still not installed or you have installed an incompatible driver for your CDROM.

You can obtain a new driver at the manufacturers website and type in the model numbers in the search window and the drivers and software should be there. If not surf the site for the driver. If you still cant find it google it.

Optical disc drives in XP do not need drivers. Why do you believe you need a driver for it?
