Re: my mp3 blinks blue
This is the worst mp3 player ever invented - i have to tell you this up front. There is no driver, the company does not support the product anymore - I would return it now while you still can.
Either the device is bad, the pc port is bad, or the software is faulty. Try connecting to different usb port, then a usb port on a different pc with a compatible os. If still not recognized, then there is physical damage to player.
Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.

These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating procedure, to many popular brand TVs and other devices. Viewing it in "Mosaic" or "Magazine" will make surf easy. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/
Blinking codes details to many popular brand TVs are given. Surf the site with patience. Do a search by type in the brand name of the device to the search box.
Hey jonce17....I had the same problem, and my Alero sat in my driveway for 2 days. I looked online for the solution, and I found out how to bypass the security. After it won't start and the security light is blinking, turn the ignition to the on position. Leave it there till the security light stops blinking and stays on (usually takes 9 to 10 minutes). Then turn ignition to off position and start it like normal. This happens to me about once every couple of months. Hope this helps....
ok check the braces my ds is so messed up and it does the same thing and just like put the ds in different positions and play with it if that doesnt work then use the warranty or sell it.
easy fix my friend its temporary firmware problem . ok now to fix it
plug the sansa in your pc ,just doing so can fix the problem if not
,unplug it from the pc the unit should have stayed on (the blue LED's of
the wheel r on but no screen backlight) push the ON button on the side
and hold it push for a good 20 secon then releass it that will make the
unit do a soft reset and then turn it back on again it may chow the low
bat simbol just plug it back in your pc the screen will show the
turning arrow the backlight of the screen will work, let it recharge
and there you go fix.
