When typing a text message or entering info in the phone book...phone always freezes on the 3rd letter...and the only way to get out of the freeze is to take the battery out and turn the phone back on once the battery is put back in....why does the phone freeze?
it seems like this is a firmware issue or conflict between the softwares or whatever your may have downloaded. You can repair it yourself, but be careful not to brick / kill your phone with wrong softwares.
Your local repair shop can help you too, if its under warranty bring to store to flash for free.
Do you have too many text messages stored on your phone? I had a phone like that, If when I neared the storage limit it would stop allowing any entering of text messages. Just go to the menu button when your in the text message area and press the menu key, scroll down to cleanup messages, select it and delete them all.
