My Amana Radarange, Model CW65T Manufactured in October 1994, stopped working during operation. I opened the microwave up and replaced a blown fuse. I then attempted to use the microwave again and the fuse blew again. There doesn't appear to be any obvious short-circuits, everything appears to be clean.
Does any one have any suggestions? Are their any instruction manuals available online to conduct a diagnosis?
If it went dead almost immediately after pressing the Start pad, that's usually a shorted high-voltage capacitor.
If it went dead a few seconds after pressing the Start pad, that's usually a failing high-voltage transformer.
There
should be a "mini-manual" (tech sheet) hidden inside the unit behind the
control panel or hidden on the left side behind the grille, which is
very helpful when troubleshooting, testing, and locating components.
