The metronome speed is controlled by the Tempo setting. The metronome controls only adjust the volume of the metronome and if the metronome is heard on the input or output recording. The R24 manual is available here: http://www.zoom.co.jp/downloads/r24/manual/ . See page 20 for setting the Tempo. The Tempo button is below the Tempo label to the left of the LCD display on the right side of the Zoom R24.

I hope this helps.

Testimonial: "Thanks Cindy, now I just have to work out why it wont turn off, even when I go into 'tool' -->Metronome-->Off, it is still heard clicking on the track I'm recording and the tempo light still flashes. Bye for now, Lea"

You're welcome. I believe the Tempo light will always flash on the unit. If you saved the Metronome Off setting, I'm not sure why you still hear the clicking. If the clicking only lasts for 8 beats or less, check the Pre-Count setting in the Metronome menu.

SOURCE: I HAVE A ZOOM R24

Hello,

So I assume when you say you downloaded the latest drivers, you are talking about the version 1.3.0 from this source: http://www.zoom.co.jp/downloads/r24/

Ok so to configure Apple Logic Pro to use this control surface follow these instructions:

CONTROL SURFACE SETUP

1. Select "Preferences" > "Control surfaces" > "Setup..." from the "Logic Pro" menu. This opens the "Setup" window.

2. Click on the top left "New" and select "Install" from the pull-down menu.

3. Select "Mackie Designs/Mackie Control/Logic Control" from the list in the "Install" window and click the "Add" button.

"Mackie Control" will be added to the setup window.

4. Click the "Mackie Control" icon. Then, from the top of the list at the left set "Out Port" and "Input" to "ZOOM R16_R24" using their pull down menus.

FUNCTION KEY SETUP

1. Select "Preferences" > "Control surface" > "Controller Assignments..." from the "Logic Pro" menu. This opens the "Controller Assignments" window.

2. From the "Zone" column select "Control Surface: Mackie Control." Change the functions as you like.

3. Controls F1~F5 correspond to the F1~F5 keys on the R24.

The above procedures are for Logic Pro 9. The names of the menus, for example, might be different in a different version of Logic.

Make sure you have run all the MAC OSX updates from your System Menu > Check for updates.

This device needs full USB power so don't run it off a USB hub unless its a powered one.

My son has started learning piano using the CTK 651. The music teacher needs a metronome function in this keyboard. Is there a option for this here? How do i get to that.

Most of these keyboards have such a function... the manual doesn't show any... however one could select drum set 5 and use the claves setting for a rhythm and control the rate with the tempo. This might be too complicated and it might be simpler to get a small metronome... some are very inexpensive.

The Simmons SD5K keeps spontaneously playing songs, even when all I want to do is play my own stuff with the metronome! I turn on the metronome, set the speed, hit the pads a few times, and the music...

Press the "click" button and then set the tempo you want, press the "click" button again this will stop the metronimoe but is also sets the tempo in memory. The next time you press the "click" button it will be ready to go.

Anytime you press the tempo + or - it thinks you are trying to use the "Tap Tempo Function".

There is a delay with the sound I play it but the green light is,nt in sync the same time I play its a little bit delayed.

The green light is NOT a tempo light and will not be in sync with applied audio. If you need a tempo indicator, turn on a click track in your computer or use a metronome.

How to adjust the metronome on casio privia

You hold down the function key/button and then use the PIANO keys with the "tempo" shown above them.
In that section of the keyboard, the C# key raises the tempo and the C key lowers it. You can also use the numbered keys in that section to dial up a particular value. Hold function down and strike the numbers you want then release the function key/button

I don't believe there is an adjustment for loudness of the metronome other than the overall loudness of the piano..

The click track on my TASCAM 2488 Mk 2 won't click

There is likely an amplitude setting (probably available in a menu) for the click. Make sure that is turned up.
