VSX-D409 - Standby Light - Does not Power On

A powered subwoofer would get its Line Level input from the Subwoofer PreOut (page 14)
Pages 16-22 discuss speaker type, distance, levels settings

the light is an ledt they very rarely go bad ..to confirm its bad you must first see that the led is getting power --a voltmeter one end to the frame of the unit and the other to either lead on the led will confirm if its bad or not a typical led will run on or near 3 volts dc... if theres no power at the led than the problem is elsewhere

unplug it and press the power buton and then hold the power button, and while your holding the power button, plug it back in

There Is A Little Thyristor On The Side Of The Main Power Board look real close youl see it its on the green back side mines burnt to i cant figure out the part # to change it because its burnt if you have any luck ost it please

I have the same problem. my sandby light is on but my receiver will not turn on! I checked my power going into the power supply board that was good. But i do not have power going to the transformer or the receptacle. And both of my fuses r good. check ur fuses and go from there . If u know how to get a power supply. please let me know.

The stand-by light is supposed to go off when you power on the receiver. You should get the display light and you should have power on.

I have vsx-d812 that has an AMP ERR in error menu. the troubleshooting was found to be Q696 and Q697 in the DC prot. area on "C" board, up near front toward diplay in center of c board. You can get access to error codes on VSX pioneer unit by pressing "enter" and "adv. surr." simultaneously for 2 sec. The display should show what error code you are experiencing. I believe there are three diff. error codes. 1) AMP ERR 2) OVERLOAD 3) BOAD ERR (not mistyped) I hope this helps pinpoint error code for ya.
