Question about Canon PIXMA MP760 All-In-One InkJet Printer

1 Answer

Colour faded I am having trouble with the colour of the prints. The colours a very faded and are not printing the right shade. eg red is like orange. I printed a top quality photo a couple of weeks ago, and not long after that I had to change some cartridges as they were low, and ever since then the colour has been right off. I have done a deep clean three times, and also printed out the test. The printer has 5 cartridges, a large black, small black, small cyan, small yellow and small magenta. The large black one is in perfect dark working order, and the others are very faded. Because the deep clean has not worked, could it be the printer head? If so, how do I go about getting one or having it replaced, and does anybody know how much something like that costs. Desperate for Help!!! Thanks

This printer has stopped printing reds and oranges correctly ? they are faded. Changed the toners & no difference

Print a "Config Report" from the printers menu...If u notice that the fourth square on the left side (fourth being the bottom square) for Magenta (reds and orange) is missing or very faded, this could indicate that the optical mirrors inside the printer have to be cleaned...Design flaw. ESP..if changing toners doesn't work and your your faded issue is with Magenta (Pink, red, or orange) colours are the only faded ones...With this design flaw in the optical mirrors, magenta mirror is the first to be affected!
Hope this helps!!!! I work in the industry :)

Canon pixma ip 4300 colour problems

If they are generic inks, sometimes the colors aren't quite right, also in your machine you can't use the photo inks, the photo magenta and photo cyan are not the right shade for your machine. You need plain magenta and plain cyan. Beyond that you may need a new printhead.

Assuming that you are using original Canon cartridges or a brand of Compatibles that you have used before.

If print results are blurred, colors are faded or not printed correctly, the pint head nozzles are probably clogged.

Follow the procedure below to print the nozzle check pattern, check the print head nozzle condition, then clean the Print Head. You may have to do this 2 or 3 times.

If printed ruled lines are misaligned or print results are otherwise unsatisfactory, aligning the Print Head may improve print quality.

Caution Do not rinse or wipe the Print Head and ink tanks. This can cause trouble with the Print Head and ink
tanks.

Note Before performing maintenance
Open the Top Cover and make sure that all lamps on the ink tanks are lit red.
If not, see Checking the Ink Status and take an appropriate action.
Increasing the print quality in the printer driver settings may improve the print result.

My DCP-115C printer was missing red colour.

Yellow is one of the colours used to produce a shade of red.

I don't know how but ther must be a way to print a test page to see if the print heads need cleaning I've never used a brother.

Printer prints colours in different colours

Either you are out of red ink or the print head is getting plugged. Most printers substitute the nearest available color when a color runs out or the head is plugged. As some shades of red are made with yellow mixed, it therefore prints only in yellow if red is unavailable.

Print colour is off

Sounds like you have cyan and magenta ink but no yellow. (You need yellow to get yellows, greens, reds and orange shades.) First try running the printer utility to clean your ink jets, then run a test print. If this does not work then simply replace the yellow ink cartridge.
