Deleting pictures Pictures still seem to be on camera even though they have been deleted

Go to menu, select pictures, run though menu for pictures tell you see delete

Look at your memory card. SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.

Are you plugging them into the computer to delete them?

If you do a complete format of the card, that should do the deed.

Remove the card, go into the menu and find "format"...follow the on-screen instructions to erase the internal memory.

Use a cardreader to download your pictures to another folder you create on your desktop. Then, format the card in your camera to erase everything for a fresh start.

Try using a different memory card.

Without being able to see the on-screen display, you couldn't be sure you're doing the right things even just following step-by-step instructions. The simplest thing to do is take the memory card out of the camera, put into a card reader on your computer, and treat it like a flash drive. You can just go through the pictures on the card, deleting the ones you don't want and copying the others right into folders on your hard drive. Many computers have card readers already. If yours doesn't you can buy a USB reader locally or from many online sources.

My experience in this issue is that you should never put too much trust in an SD card :-/ It seems to me that all cards are prone to fail once in a while, and my best advice is to keep spare ones handy. A dedicated SD card reader is a good thing, too...
