well on your memorix dvd player you will get a orange triangle that says pscan (progressive scan) you will go to the back of you dvd/vcr and on the right hand side you will see a switch to turn on and off the pscan you will switch it off and you will be set to go
I had the exact same problem and I consulted the manual. All you have to do is turn the PSCAN swtich off. It is located on the back of the dvd player. Then turn the dvd player back on and your problem should be fixed.
had the split screen with pscan triangle looked for the button on the back, no button but on the remote was a button named V.MODE pressed it and everything back to normal thanks for the help
