Unable to Print

Gday , having a problem with our brother-MFC-620CLN...
Basically its saying : Unable to Print , Troubleshooting and routine maintenance chapter in User's Guide.
I've tried as suggested in the Manual Guide to look for faxes via MENU-SET 9-0-1 , but theres none...
I've also checked paper jam and the black cartridge is low but not empty...
What else can i do?

Open the top cover and hold the interlock switch on the top right hand corner. Power up and wait for the carriage to come to the center. Shine a flashlight all the way to the right and left and pull out the crumpled paper. You should be able to print again..

Problem with my printer Brother MFC-240C "Print unable 4F"
Access the internal maintenance mode by pressing the Menu/Set button, then press * 2 8 6 4 within 2 seconds. This should put you in the maintenance mode menu. Enter 80, then scroll down with the arrow down (round) key. You'll find an entry listed as purge count. If number is over 6000, enter 2 7 8 3.

This will reset the purge count value. Then the printer will restart, try this step by step.without missing any thing. thanks

Printing after being on same phone line as printer/fax
This link will open the Users Manual, but you will need a PDF viewer such as Adobe Reader or Foxit Reader in order to open it.

Go to page 12-4 in Chapter 12, Troubleshooting and routine maintenance. Follow the actions recommended for the Unable to clean error message (and the four other Unable to... error messages).

Will not print
I have the same error message “Check the Troubleshooting and Routine Maintenance Chapter in User's Guide" I called customer service for "BROTHER 1-800-284-4329 USA; 1-877-BROTHER for CANADA. The Tech’s and I performed a series of diagnostic test, via the phone but were unable to solve the problem... Brother seem to believe that I have a defected printer head, Brother referred me to a local authorize service agent for Brother. I do have my User's Guide and there is no additional information that I was able to use to resolve this problem. HOW EVER, I am able to get the machine to print by opening the cover and close it as if I had installed ink, or removed a paper jam “SIMPLY OPEN AND CLOSE THE COVER”. I also vacuumed and blew the insides and the outside buttons of the machine with forced air from my vacuum, after all that I still have the same problem. My solution...buy a new machine mine is 32 months old and I probably have ran 15k or more print, fax, and copy jobs.
Some times we need to know when to move on, TIME IS MONEY AND TIME WASTED IS UN-REFUNDABLE.
