can't connect the Kdc 400U to the 98 Mustang...and got a new wire harness

The wiring diagram is on page 33 of the manual.

• For this deck the users manual for KDC-X395 says to check to be sure the terminals of the speaker leads are covered with insulating tape properly and make sure no wires are accidentally touching another wire or piece of wire. Then you are to reset the unit. If "PROTECT" does not disappear, consult your nearest service center.

well if you mean how to wire it up to ur car buy a radio adapter from best buy and color match all wires

ebay is a good place to search.
if that doesnt turn up 1 try any audio visual store or a kenwood approved retailer will be able to order 1 for you
