I Purchase an Olevia Lt42HDi About 3 Months Ago I Have A Computer Hooked Up My Cable And A Video Game Console, I Was Enjoing A Show One Night And The Tv Just Shut Itself Off.... Thinking Maybe I Hit The Button On The Remote I Turned The Tv Back On, Only To Find The Cool(Blue) Middle(Green) And Warm (red) Settings On My Tv Were Way To "Off" So I Used The USer Setting To Zero Out The Colors To Get A Clean Clean Picture With The Regular Colors, Only To Find That I Cannot Control The Brightness Hue Saturation Or the contrast, The Manual Specs. That the setting Go from 0-100 when some are set as high as 255, if I try to move them down any it goes right to zero making the picture "unveiwable" then will not go back up....This Is A Brand New Tv With Very Little User Time...and has not been knocked or bumbed at all..
I have the same exact problem. It just shut off and when I turned it back on, I couldn't adjust any of the picture settings. After a day or so everything was all well again until I tried to adjust the picture and it went back to a dark screen. I was told by Olevia that my Mainboard needs to be replaced and it costs ~$202!! I can replace it myself but come on, why am I spending all this money just to pay for a "Windows" crash?
First thing I would do is unplug the set for about 20 seconds then if you still had the problem, have it fixed by an authorized repair shop for that brand as it should still be in warranty.
