Question about Toshiba e310 Pocket PC

1 Answer

Toshiba e310 no reset

When it is reset the screen is just a series of vertical lines or just plain white. if it beeps it isone quick beep. It appears to do things when you move the stylist over the screen yet can't go to the main screen. I have followed factory reset (switch off then on), (reset power till screen on then release power), (disconnect power plug from battery to board). NOTHING worked. Also have a 740 and has same problem. Open for suggestions. Factory is not supporting ppcs yet less than 4 years old. HELP!!! Doug

Toshiba satellite pro p100 screen problem

The LCD can be replaced. The part is around $50-$75 I believe. It can be tricky to replace, but if you take your time, you can save money by doing it yourself. The screen sounds cracked or broken, and black & white will not work either.

Switch on the power while simultaneously holding down the numerical keys 0, 1, and 3 on the Control Panel.
The Calibration Screen 1 will display
In numeric sequence (P1 to P9), touch the intersections of the vertical and horizontal lines with the stylus.
Apply the stylus to each of the four line intersections. A black square should appear at the point of contact, and a beep should sound.
If four beeps are heard, adjustment is OK.
If you don't hear four beeps, repeat the adjustment from step 1.
Switch the power off and then on.

Vertical white lines appear on screen and music will play, beeping and a "chopper" noise have also occured. Replaced motherboard in Dec 08.

To isolate the issue.please connect the notebook to external monitor with the help of VGA port.(Blue PORT) on the notebook.if it good with out any lines.you need to fix the LCD screen of the Notebook.
