When I hook my phone up to the charger and try to power up, the screen say something like "please plugin USB data cord, ready to program. That's it. I can't even charge the battery. Where can I find this software on the internet? There's no one who can flash it for at least 150 miles.

Your GPS battery may have drained its charge because your car charger is not working. Try plugging it into your computer with a USB cable. If it turns on you will need to replace your car power cord. If it still does not turn on your GPS may have a bad connection or something is wrong internally. You can try resetting it but take note that this will clear all your saved data in the GPS
Try this , it helped me.
1. plugin the charger (or data cable) for about 15 minutes and keep the red light blinking.
2. while the charger (or cable) is hooked to the phone, remove the battery and memory card for 10 to 12 seconds.
3. keep the memory card out and put the battery back in and whalah, it startes up. (really hope this helps)
