Hi
I had the same problem as a previous owner where the clothes were hot but damp after a load in the dryer. As such I am troubleshooting the issue, I've disconnected vent line behind the dry and there is warm air coming out of the dry. However there was also a fair amount of water that spilt out. I am not sure what this means?
Any suggestions?
Thanks

I was hoping for an answer to this because that is exactly what happened to me! I disconnected the back hose and there was water coming out but it's not a combo, it's just a dryer. I have no idea what it means and am not sure if I call a dryer repair person or a duct something or other... I was hoping for an answer to this because that is exactly what happened to me! Is this a combo washer/dryer in 1 unit? water shoud not come out if it is just a dryer. Your air coming out of the back vent hose should be hot. If your clothes comes out of your WASHER damp (more than normal) then your washer is not spin drying good enough. (worn belt, clogged drainage system).

The vent may be stopped up, or the vent hose crimped so the air cannot escape, you can check the air flow at the vent on the outside of the house while the dryer is running.
try cleaning the vent and the lint screen with a vacuum cleaner, you may need to replace the vent hose, this should solve the problem
have you checked the dryer vent, wall vent lint trap for cloggs,if clogged it will hold the damp hot air in the dryer much longer and add to your drying time-mike
you have a clogged wall vent or clogged dryer vent or a clogged lint trap, you are trapping all the hot wet air in the dryer and that's why it's taking so lont to dry-mike
Hello, sounds like your cold water feed hose has got a kink in it. The machine needs cold water to condense the steam. Just pull out the machine and slowly slide back into place.
Most common cause of this is a clogged venting going to the outside to test this remove the vent from the back of the dryer and run a load if it drys ok them you know you have a venting issue and will need to be cleaned out if not plz repost and we can look deeper into it
I am assuming you are cleaning the lint filter. Check the vent pipe out the back. If it vents into the wall, the piping leading to outside may be plugged. Your washer is spinning the clothes good, right? If the clothes are excessively wet they will take longer to dry also. If its practical, remove the vent hose and let it dry blowing into the room. It may suck but just once for a test.
