The microwave simple does not turn on. Nothing on the digital screen, no beeps on the key pad. The light does not come on when you open the door. Nothing.
There has not been any power surges in the area and the unit worked fine yesterday with out anything that would suggest that it was going bad. ie; food not heating up normally, key pad not working.
I took the top cover off to see if there was a reset button and did not find one. I found a fuse and there is power through the fuse. So I know that I am getting power though the back of the unit and the obvious fuse is working.
I am fairly savy with simple electronics but when it comes to the mother board behing the key pad I get a little nervous.
Thank you to anyone that is willing to help.

Re: No power - Nothing happens
If you have power at the outlet and the internal fuse is okay, I would say you have a problem on the control board.

A lot of the time when that happens the touch pad is bad and may have a colappsed air pocket on a pad. ( it makes the unit think you are pushing a pad ) The only way to fix it is to replace it (the touch panel) . Did you see any numbers coming up in the display. Like if the 3 pad was bad and making it beep it may have been showing a 3 in the display,. Always possible it could be a bad main board. But most commonly I have found it to be the touch panel. Try to unplug it and then plug it back in and try to set the clock. when you do, try each number pad and see if they all work. See if any feel different.
The child lock has been enabled on the microwave. To disable the lock, press and hold 0 until the Locked message disappears from the screen. To set the Lock, press Stop/Clear (to clear the display) and then press and hold the 0 pad until the phrase Lock appears and you hear two beeps.
