There are many things you can do to clean up your desk. You can start by trying to minimalize the clutter; move or get rid of things you don't use every day. You can store your papers in a tiered organizer, on top of which you can put your phone. You can store paper clips, post-its, white out etc. in a carousel organizer so that can just twist it to extract what you need.

I manage apartments and have all the keys on a giant ring on my desk, is there a better way to store them and keep them more organized?

There are a few options for organizing keys, you can hang them on individual hooks with tags for where they go to, or what I've seen people do is get small key-rings and keep them in plastic organizers like this one, that allow you to create as many compartments as you want at different sizes depending on what you are storing.

Are all in one desk organizers better than buying individual pieces?

All in one desk organizers are really great because they keep everything together in one place and you don't have to worry about getting all the pieces, they are a little more pricey though. If you don't need all the compartments that an all in one has then buying the little desk organizer pieces are what you need. Target and staples have some really nice ones!

Is it worth buying desk organizers and sorting my work space out?

i think it's really beneficial to invest some time and maybe some money into sorting out your work space.
Having your things in order, so that you can easily find the office supplies and papers that you need helps you to be more efficient and to work with more clarity.
have a big sort out and throw away any papers and things you don't need anymore.
if you don't want to spend money on buying organizational containers etc, you can always make your own from various size boxes and tins that you can cover.
