That would depend on the filter.

Since Tamron has never made a lens with a fixed focal length of 72mm, I assume the 72mm is referring to the filter thread. I also assume you mean the Hoya RM72 infrared filter. The "72" in the filter name is a description of the filter and has nothing to do with its physical size. One vendor lists the RM72 filter in sizes ranging from 46mm to 77mm. As long as you get the filter to match the thread on the front of the lens then it will screw right on.

Is the Tamron AF08N700 auto focus with the D90?

Good morning. You have likely already gotten an answer to this, but yes, it will.

Unlike less expensive models such as the D40, D60, D3000 and D5000, the D90 has a built in autofocus motor, which means that all Nikon F-mount autofocus-lenses (except two for the rare Nikon F3AF) can be used in autofocus mode for all newer generation autofocus lenses like the Tamron 200-800. However, you may want to look around a bit, as Tamron has come out with a new 150-600 lens that is simply terrific (I know, I own one) and the Big Sig from Sigma is equally great.

FYI

Good luck.

Does tamron 80-210mm work for Nikon d90

Tamron makes their lenses with a variety of lens mounts. If your lens has a Nikon mount then it will mount onto the D90.

Tamron 14mm 2.8 does not work on d90

This lens is compatible with your Nikon D90 according to this site:

http://lenshero.com/lens/Tamron-14mm-f2.8-IF-Nikon-f-lens

Your complaint "does not work" is rather broad, so I don't know what specific kind of problem(s) your having with it.

If you continue to have issues with it, make sure other lenses work on your D90 to eliminate the body as the source of the problem. Consider performing a 2 button reset on the D90 (and resetting any other customized settings to defaults) and try again. If it still "doesn't work" then contact Tamron to evaluate the lens for possible repair.

Good luck!

Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8D VR G-AFS ED-IF Lens this will work for d3000

Hi,
This lens and ANY Nikon lens that has AF-S (built-in lens motor) in it will work with the D3000. In addition, some of the newer Tamron, Sigma and Tokina lenses that have the motor built in will work.
Be careful though in holding the heavy lens simply by the DSLR grip. The lens mount may not be able to support the strain.
Hope this helps, Andrew

Tele converter option for Tamron 28-75mm f2.8

This is a lens for Sony/Minolta cameras. It is not compatible with the Nikon D90. Hence a Teleconverter for Nikon will not work on this lens to mount it to a Nikon D90.
