Rejected discs Recently, our burner has been rejecting about half the CD's of a project with the wordiing "rejected Disc" printed all over it. This problem seems to be getting worse and we are going through apporimately 100 "rejected disc" per day. We have tried using different media with no improvement and this seems to be situation that has just come up and getting worse. Please help. I have tried contacting Rimage on several occasions with no response. Several VM and email requests.

I had the same problem, with rejections getting more and more frequent. In the end replacing the DVD burners fixed the problem. Apparently, the red lasers that burn the cd surface fade with use. They are still fine reading the disk at low power, but burning at high power becomes progressively more hit-and-miss.

I had this problem in the past on my 2000i, I found that turning down the burn speed slightly resolved this for me.

I get an error message to use a blank or erasable DVD

I would try simply copying one of the already completed discs using a stable and well known burning program like Nero. Programs like Pinnacle can be very temperamental when exporting their projects to disc.

DVDs I burn will not play on other players. Players reject disc

Check that the burner is finalizing the discs. This can be set in Roxio or in the optical drive properties. In Windows 7, right click on the optical drive, choose Properties, then the Recording tab. Then the Global settings lets you choose to finalize the disc on eject. Try a different brand of DVD+R and check that the other players support DVD+R discs. (I know some DVD players only support DVD-R.)

I hope this helps.

Getting my computer and cd player to recognise the discs am i using the wrong type of disc? I had problems with my backing up this morning it kept rejecting the disc I tried Kodak 52x cd-r & maxwell...

If it has rejected multiple brands and models of disks (and you are sure the optical unit is fine) then probably your backing system is configured to work in an incremental way, which needs RW disks.

Media Rejection

edgie46,
I have some bad news for you. The media sensor is faulty. This sensor is not sold seperatly. The entire pen carrage (head) has to be replaced at quite a cost.
Your part number from an HP parts supplier is C4713-60039

Its strange that is a refurbished machine with a faulty carrage. Maybee you can claim under a warrenty

Sports disc not loading rejecting all the time

If Wii gives Disc Read Error, first step you need to check is to try another disc or clean the exisitng disc. This will confirm that problem is with either Wii or Disc. If the console itself is giving disc read error then it needs to be repaired. You may check out DIY Wii Fix Guide, that will show step by step information to fix the problem yourself. It also gives information on fixing many Wii Related Problems, so its a kind of Wii Problems Reference Fix Guide.
