SOURCE: thread bunching up under fabric.

Be sure that the thread is in the TAKE-UP lever. There are four thead guide the thread must pass through. From the spool through the first thread guide at #1 than straight down to #2 than up to #3 throught the take-up lever and straight down to the left of the needle and throught hte neele form fornt ot back.

If the thread is not in that take-up lever the machine will not have any top tension (or be regulated) it will flood the machine with thread and wrap around that bobbin.

Also, be sure have you presser foot int he up position while threading this way the thread will surely pass through the tension disks, Set your top tension at 4, use good quality thread (get rid of the dual duty or all purpose) All of these steps will ensure a perfect balanced stitch.

SOURCE: Top thread keeps getting wrapped around bobbin case on LX-3125

You should hold the end of the thread coming through the needle until the thread has grasped the bobbin thread.

SOURCE: My Brother LX 3125 does not sew zig zag stitches

Mine did the same thing. The needle is probably to high. Do not insert the needle all the way to the top. Lower it a bit and it should zig zag!

SOURCE: Bobbin thread will not stitch.

Have you had the machine serviced since you purchased it? This is something that should be done at least once a year.

Take the machine to a certified Singer dealer and explain what is happening. There may or may not be something that needs to be adjusted.

Your warranty is still in effect, but is now limited. Attempting to repair it yourself or having someone who is not a Singer dealer repair it will invalidate the remaining warranty.

Brother LS-2125 bunches bobbin thread then won't sew.

Check your stitch sample. Dollars to donuts it's the top thread bird nesting (also called thread nesting) under the fabric. Issues appearing under the fabric is usually top thread related. Problems appearing on the top of the fabric is usually bobbin thread related.

Remove the top thread from your machine.
Be sure to start with a brand new needle.
ALWAYS RAISE the presser foot and rethread the top.

Brother LX-3125 jamming below pressure foot and just above the bobbin casing. Manual instructions do not cover this I have done everything. Help...

Hm, am wondering if this is thread nesting or bird nesting. Frequently, it will create a knot or huge glob of thread on the underside of the fabric.

Be sure to start out with a brand new needle.
Remove the upper thread from the machine.
ALWAYS RAISE the presser foot and rethread from the beginning.
Set the upper tension at the midway point between high & low numbers. (This is a beginning point but may need tweaking for your particular machine. Tension is correct when the upper and bobbin threads meet in the middle of the fabric.)
Pull the bobbin thread to the top of your fabric before beginning to stitch.
How and Why to Bring up the Bobbin Thread

Begin stitching slowly.

When i sew the bobbin thread bunches up. what to do?

remove the thread and bobbin.
take out your manual and follow the exact instructions for threading and inserting bobbin.

If this does not help check the tension on the top(the number should be about mid way).
If it is too low it will bunch up on the bottom.

Just got the sewing machine last night - read the manual, etc - the tension of the bobbin is way off. tried every solution mentioned, but its still not working

are you adjusting the little screw on the tension spring on the bobbin case by minute amounts each time? Only turn it a quarter turn each time you change it.

If you do the dangle test, (suspend the bobbin by the thread tail) the bobbin case and bobbin should stay still in the air, but a gentle tug on the case should release thread. Adjust the little screw with the mini screwdriver in your kit until you get it to this point. turn it left to loosen and right to tighten.

Also check that the bobbin is in the bobbin case the right way, page 12 of your manual should show this. Yout want the bobbin to turn anticlockwise when you pull the thread tail. Then load it into the shuttle using the latch on the bobbin case to secure it.

It is possible that the tension spring itself is faulty in which case you can buy a new bobbin case for the machine from the local machine shop, or http://www.sewingpartsonline.com/brother-lx-3125-parts.aspx

I have Brother LX-3125. I am using it for the first time. How can I take the bobbin out of the bobbin case. The case has an empty bobbin snapped in.

the lx 3125 has a front loading bobbin case which must be removed by pulling the latch on the bobbin case and thereby pulling the bobbin case from the shuttle.

once you have the bobbin case in your hand, let go of the latch and the bobbin will drop out of the case. you can now wind the bobbin or replace it with a wound bobbin - make sure that the bobbin thread is threaded down the slot in the case and behind the tension spring, also the bobbin should turn clockwise when you pull the bobbin thread when loking at the bobbin in the case.
