The quick view from the outside panel keeps flashing on the screen scrolling from movie to photo to gaming to text to custom and adjusts the image as it scrolls, and I can't see through it because it is in the middle of the screen

i have a vx924 , and it has died. flashing led and the display flashes for a split second and then goes out for about 10 seconds. this scenario just repeats over and over. unfortunately it seems there have been no solutions posted. I was really happy with it up until this. i can not even check monitor options since it only flashes so fast and then goes black.

I purchased a Model F 22 Acer monitor. The screen shakes but so I sent it back to Acer Service in Texas. They said it was fine and sent it back. I have a friend that was a tech at one of the big box stores he said stay away from ACER. I have found that the hard way. At this point I have the price of the monitor plus 69.00 dollars for shipping, no monitor and no way of knowing where it is. I do live in MD which means when I show the judge they have to
fix the monitor and pay my lawyer.

If these are lcd monitors, most of the time this problem is caused by bad caps on the power board. replacing the caps on the power board with a cap of the same value and voltage or slightly higher voltage value usually solves this problem.

I've fixed a monitor with the exact problem. Had to resolder bad joints on the mainbord. mostly from the power components. Good Luck!

Then it goes away? That sounds like the normal degauss feature is working.

Sorry I didn't finish my post. Got interrupted.

I posted that picture to suggest that you check your menu to see if you can find that (degauss) function.

Select that, and it should do what you are describing.

I don't think you have an actual problem.

But post back if I'm wrong.

We have a Canon Powershot G12 camera. When taking a picture a red flashing camera appears at the lower left side of screen, the picture comes out white. What do we need to do?

That is the camera shake icon. When you press the shutter button halfway in low light conditions where camera shake is likely, a flashing (g0035839.gif) will appear. You need to change your settings to compensate, usually setting the camera on P or Auto will usually get you an acceptable image. Check the user manual or download it from the Canon website.

Yes. Flashing LED with no image on the screen is the first sign of the power supply gets overloaded. That may be caused by blown/shorted electrolytic capacitors. Open the monitor, take metal lid off and observe for those caps which are rounded on top. Replace them with proper ones.

Monitor Goes black, or flickers on and off

The high pitch sound is coming from the inverter. It is faulty and needs to be repaired or replaced. The inverter supplies high voltage to the CCFL lamp, this lamp gives the backlight to the LCD so you can see the LCD images.

Monitor Flashing

My best guess is that the monitor is trying to display outside of it's range. Set the resolution, color depth and refresh rate to the lowest settings and see if you have the same problems. Also, change the cable to a known working cable and keep the length short, like 3' or less. If the image still shakes, then it is an internal problem that would most likely be too expensive to fix.

I assume you know how to change the settings in Windows, but if not post back and I will help.

Flashing Blue power light

Hi this is the way how to examine what's wrong with your LCD monitors. After you turned it on and the screen went black or stopped working, you have to check that if you can see the image on the screen or not by shining a flashlight into the screen, not directly but find the best angle to the screen and take a look very closely. If you can see the icons or any image, there will be a minor problem. This is because of the lamps inside screen. Some of them were broken and it is very easy to replace. If you cannot see anything on the screen, there'll be some problems with inverter board. If you have soldering tool and want to fix it by yourself, check the caps first. It may cause this problem. Some caps might show leaking or burn spot on the board because of too high temp. If you don't have soldering tool, you better go get a technician to do so. Hope this help!! If anything I can help you with, feel free to let me know.
Thank you,

The screen doesn't display anything and the power button is flashing green

Ok I got the same problem. And this is the way how to examine where the problem is. You have to check that you can see the image on screen by shining a flashlight into the screen, not directly but find the best angle to the screen and take a look very closely. If you can see the icons (Power on both cpu and monitor), there will be a minor problem. Like me, I can see window image using flashlight and check lamps inside. Some of them were broken. If you cannot see any icon on the screen. I would say that there are some problems with inverter board. If you have soldering tool and want to fix it by yourself, check the caps first. It may cause this problem. Some caps might show leaking or dark spot on the board because of too high temp. If you don't have soldering tool, you better go get a technician to do so.
