Monitor turns goes black and comes back on every 10 secs planar PX2210MW

The Planar PX2210MW is notorious for bad electrolytic capacitors. Specifically capacitor C804 on the power supply board. . This is a 1000uF 25volt capacitor. That capacitor was usually made by Hermei and it was purple. Normally, the top of a capacitor will be flat. When it fails, it will be curved upward and there may be some brown material leaking out.
If the monitor still will not work after replacing C804, the problem could be Q805 or Q806. These are located on the under side of the board. They are small black surface mounted chips. There are 8 pins on these chips. I have seen both AO4620 and APM4548A part numbers used. These chips contain a pair of MOSFET transistors. One transistor is n-channel and the other is p-channel. Look for a short in one of the transistors. I have repaired several of these monitors. C804 is always bad. How ever, in three cases, Q805 or Q806 was also bad 12c1ec2c-5a6d-4352-af31-150a0a92514c.jpg c9a53aae-2999-45c7-ad78-44ba51ac5a6c.jpg 795d93fe-9678-46c2-820a-767bea9babb0.jpg

Hi Patrick!

I think your best bet here would be to contact Lowrance support. They have a toll-free number and will likely be able to tell you the transistor number over the phone.

Here's the link to their service guys!

2005 GMC CANYON BLOWER MOTOR ONLY WORKS ON HIGH?

Ok I'm going to be honest and tell u the truth, this exact thing happened to me. There is a 4 part pigtail relay plug connecting to a transister, the high only works because it bypasses the transiter and go directly into the fan power, but setings 1,2,3 eventualy and no longer usuable due to the transister input to the specific speed burning out, u can lose differnt speeds and differnt times depending on which speed u prefer the most. If u prolong the repaire even longer it will cause a short and u will burn fuses or even the main fuse in your fuse box. How to fix. I didn't perform the repair but I read that the relay and the pigtail are both located next to the fire wall. It cost me a few hundred dollers, and only 35 dollers for labor, the rest was the transister and the pigtail being the most. Sapposidly it was vary easy to get to, and if you look in a haynes repair manual it will give you the electrical scymatics of the wireing for the fan blower control.
