GE Spacesaver Washing machine

My GE Spacesaver Washing machine in my apartment has been working fine for months, but now when it gets to the spin cycle (or what is supposed to be the spin cycle), it just sits there making draining noises forever, emitting this horribly loud buzzing noise. The timer on the control panel counts down, but all I get from it is this god awful buzzing. I know nothing about fixing appliances. What might the problem be?

SOURCE: GE Washing machine won't spin in rinse cycle

Possible your outlet filter is blocked. This requires cleaning depending on your usage. Clean this out and refit. Good luck. Plug off the wall first.

SOURCE: Washing Machine Will not Spin

Every one needs to know that the expensive parts are under warranty for ten years the outer drum front and rear, the pulley, the inner drum.  GE sent me all four parts retail value 1200.00 on their web site, got them today.  Before I under take this project I am wondering if any one know if the drum seal the giant O ring ( the one between the two halves) should be replaced or can the old one be used?

SOURCE: HELLO, WSL100D0WW IS MAKING NOISE ON DRAIN/SPIN CYCLE.

Or, you have coins in your pump casing. Look on the back of the washer, and unscrew the circular port in the bottom right corner. (Keep an 8x13 baking pan underneath, water will escape once you open the chamber). Remove and change/objects from the chamber and replace the port. You should be good to go. This is actually very common for this model washer.

SOURCE: Loud banging noise durning washing machine spin cycles.

First plug off the wall. Open the machine from behind to examine if any shock-absorbers(known as dampers) or springs have come off or broken. Your dealer could help with spares. But you could do the job yourself.

GE Commercial Washer Model WCCB1030J1WC. when it gets to rinse cycle to fill, the water just runs in and spins out. Is this machine suppose to have a rinse cycle where it fills and you put downy in.

as too the actuall program of this machine , I cant say for sure , but I can say the action you describe as (wrinse cycle) is supposed to do exactly as you described , Now "soak" is a different action entirely , this step it fills then holds for a time , then spins out . this is the action I like to use downy in seems to work better for me .

Hi,

You just do this

  • Test the lid switch
  • Inspect the motor coupler
  • Inspect the drover belt (belt drive only)
  • Inspect under the washer for soot (clutch)
  • Test the motor
  • Inspect the pulley
  • Test the transmission
  • Inspect the Agitator
  • Inspect the pump coupling
  • Test the Water switch level
Good luck !!!

Washer won't spin

Check the washer motor. Make sure that the motor is getting correct voltage and is working and spinning when you turn it on. It sounds like the motor is bad. You can remove the back cover to get to the motor to check it out
