Question about GE Profile PSW26P Stainless Steel Side by Side Refrigerator
My freezer door does not shut tight. I have checked to make sure there are no obstuctions. It seems to be out of alignment. Is there any way to adjust it? thx,
You may have enough "play" in the adjustment to pull the door in tighter but sometimes you have to file longer slots in the screw holes. The top hinge cover comes off and there should be 3 screws there, loosen them and see if you can push the door tighter and while holding it there tighten them up. Also make sure you nylon bearings on the pivot points (usually the lower one) are all there and working OK. It is not too unusual to have them break and not notice the little plastic pieces fall out then the door sags and doesn't seal good.
