I have a Maytag MDB7600AWB dishwasher that is about 4-5 years old. Problem started as wash cycle would not start. Then I saw that pressing other buttons that some of the them would not illuminate the little lights that come on to show activation, but others would. The delay start lights would come on, but the cycle would not start after the indicated delay time passed. I suspect that the problem is with the control board, but I would like to know if anybody else has had a simular problem and what it took to fix it. Thank you in advance for your help.

Re: Control buttons don't work, Help.
Donnson, sounds more like the touch panel shorted or stuck keypads. You can remove the touch panel ribbon from the control board and try to clean it with an eraser. You will need to remove the torx screws and remove the inside panel. See if it comes back to life. Behind the toe-panel on the bottom, there should be a tech sheet showing how to check the key pad. The key pad and control board are warranteed for 5 years on this model, parts only. Catriver..post back.

problems with these new dishwasher is they install the control on top of the

arm or the float, or the pump. it is where they put the circuitry to control the
dish washing machine.
I hoping that all you will need is a push button control strip for this dish
washer. moisture get in the micro switches and make them inoperable. These
button in the control strip are hermetically sealed against moisture....for a
Remember, it depends on how long has the dishwasher been working and what
will be the cost to repair your dishwasher. Dishwasher are really good for 10 to
12 years of service. I worked on a Kenmore that was 25 years old. I told the
lady of the house it is time for a new dishwasher. I could have repaired it, but
really it not worth it when it is this old. GB...stewbison
the front control panel fries out.. We had to have ours replaced after 7 months ... after that was replaced it only lasted 2 months... WE ARE VERY disappointed and will be calling once again tomorrow. The dishwasher is not even a year old yet!
