Usually such error is from a coffee or other liquid spill that has sugars etc in it getting into the buttons. If you know how to dismantle the phone enough to clean those connections do so, if you can't then replace the phone. You could try spraying a contact spray (available from an electronics parts supply or appliance supply) into the switch to wash it out.

my samsung juke is scrolling by itself and the scrolling to the left, i have turned the phone off several times and put the battery back in, however it is still doing this, no buttons are stuck but i am thinking the the trigger under the left scroll may have gotten stuck somehow, but the button itself does nit feel like it is stuck. has anyone had this problem if so, is there any way of fixing it at home. without having to buy new parts.

Gigaset A510 Shows when called from other phone plugout and when call from A510 it shows fixed line what can be the problem tried to derigeter lot of times it does but shows no activity 0

It sounds like there may be an issue with your Gigaset A510 phone. If the phone is showing "plugout" when called from another phone and "fixed line" when the call is made from the A510 itself, it could be a problem with the phone's connection to the network or a problem with the phone itself.
One thing you can try is to reset the phone to its factory settings and see if that helps resolve the issue. To do this, follow these steps:
  1. Press the "Menu" button on the phone.
  2. Scroll down to the "System" menu and select it.
  3. Scroll down to "Factory Reset" and select it.
  4. Follow the prompts to reset the phone to its factory settings.
If this doesn't help, you may need to contact Gigaset customer support for further assistance. They will be able to help you diagnose and resolve the issue with your phone.

To verify my phone

Check your phone's settings. The easiest way to check your phone's model name and number is to use the phone itself. Go to the Settings or Options menu, scroll to the bottom of the list, and check 'About phone', 'About device' or similar. The device name and model number should be listed.

Finger swipe didn't work and the password won't open my phone what can I do now?

You can do a hard reset, but you will lose all of the files on your phone. Make sure your battery is fully charged or plug in your charger. Press and hold the volume down button and the power button until the borrower screen comes up. Scroll down to the factory reset button and press the power button to select. Tue phone will wipe itself and reset itself. Be patient, it will take some time. Do not turn it off before it is finished, or you will brick your phone.

My n97 will randomly go though the 'off button menu', look like its scrolling itself, and then switch off. then it comes back on by itself and does the same thing repeatidly. it has been doing it all day...

I have a N97 myeslf and had exactly the same problem. Mine had this problem due to being accidently dropped and through dust from work. If you are not experienced in taking mobile phones apart seek expert assitance.
Flip your phone to open mode and you will see 2 little black rubber caps on the back side.
Remove the caps with a sharp tool, and then unscrew the 2 screw with a positive (+) precision screw driver.
You will then need to carefully unclip the top screen from the phone itslef.
WARNING!! please be careful while doing this as there is a ribbon attached from the screen to the phone.
Once opened, unclip the screen ribbon from the phone itself and blow on both connectors.
Reattach the ribbon and place screen back and screw in the screws.
This should stop youre phone automatically scrolling and stop it from turning off.

Hope this helps and please rate, thanks

My LG Vu won't let me scroll down on my messages and when i try to go back it won't let me. It turns off and comes back on again by itself. What should I do?PLEASE HELP!!!

-jaycievoisin if you are still able to navigate your phone, i suggest trying to re-calibrate the screen by going to the settings tab, tap "more", and tap "touch calibration". from there you can sucessfully calibrate the screen, which will probably increase your accuracy of scrolling. Cheers.

I want to put password for my Nokia N73 mobile

  1. Press the Nokia Menu key to the left of the 1 and 2 keys then choose Tools.
  2. In the Tools screen click on Settings
  3. In the Settings screen click on Security
  4. In the Security screen click on Phone and SIM
  5. Scroll down and select Lock Code
  6. Now type ‘12345’ and then choose OK with the left Selection key. ‘12345’ is the default lock code for the Nokia N73
  7. Next type your new lock code then choose OK with the left Selection key. Your lock code can only include the numbers 0 to 9. You will be asked to enter it again. Do this then choose OK with the left Selection key again. You will see a message that says ‘Lock code changed’
  8. Next click on Autolock period. You can set your phone to lock itself automatically after a period of inactivity. To do this click on User defined with the scroll key. Unlock the phone
To unlock the phone select Unlock with the left Selection key then type the lock code and choose OK with the left Selection key. The message ‘Code accepted’ will appear and you will be able to use the phone.

Disable autolock
If you decide you want to disable the autolock the go back to the Security Settings screen (see above), scroll to where it says Autolock period then click with the Scroll key and click. Choose None. You will need to enter the lock code and choose OK with the left Selection key. The message ‘Code accepted’ will appear and the Autolock period will be reset to ‘None’.

Hard reset

Hi Friend,

You can't hard-reset it on your own, that can only be done by a Nokia Care Center by flashing the firmware again on the phone.

The phone itself only offers a "soft" reset which only resets the settings.

if you mean a master reset (back to factory settings)

From the stand by screen, select Menu by pressing directly in on the navigation pad.
Scroll to Settings, and select by pressing directly in on the navigation pad.
Scroll to Restore Factory Settings, and select by pressing directly in on the navigation pad.
Enter current Security code and select OK by pressing directly in on the navigation pad.
NOTE: Default Security Code is 12345.

Cannot scroll up with my Blackberry Curve 8310 trackball

It is a very common problem. You just need a new trackball. Should be about $25. If you want to make it work temporary, then just removed it and clean the trackball and the phone part under it (on the phone itself) with 99% alcohol. It might work for a while again
