The best solution is to take it to a sewing machine shop & let them see if a part is missing.

SOURCE: Bobbin Case

ok Sim this is a bit tricky but not to tricky first turn the handwheel toward you until the hook is at one o clock postion then slide the case without the bobbin in into the hook area you may have to work the handwheel back and forth alittle but it should slide in just remember that the case should ride in the rim. also take the needle out first that way you wont get stuck trust me it happiens.

SOURCE: I have a CE-4000 model. In the middle of sewing,

When you put back in the bobbin case, there is a little "knub" that sticks out with a flat spot on the right (on the top side of it) that you need to ensure it rests gently to the left of the position finger bracket (silver metal piece, in the square of the bobbin case area its on the right closest to you).

When you put in initially, it was probably twisted clockwise and there was a gap between the knub and the position finger bracket and when you put the needle plate on in jams that bobbin case in that position and the needle just takes chunks out of it..

You might need a new bobbin case, try sanding out the needle marks with sandpaper.

Singer 9015 I took the bobbins case apart to clean and there is a little metal like clip where does it go? Can anyone send me a diagram?

I think I got it! I had to play with that little piece to get it in the right spot. I also put some oil around the ring where the bobbin case goes, seemed to help it stay in place. I had my timing all messed up as well, but I got it! So anyways, there's a little kinda notch at the part of the bobbin case that goes under the position bracket. That little piece is kinda like a spring. You just gotta mess with it until you get it in the right spot.

The bobbin thread will not raise. The bobbin and holder falls out every time

Difficult to help without knowing the make & model.

If the bobbin case falls out, then it is not latched into place. Most bobbin cases have a spring loaded latch that needs to be held open until the bobbin case is firmly seated in the machine. Then the latch is released which locks it in place.

Why won't the bobbin case click into place?

This is very simple but might be the answer you need. I had the same problem and none of the suggestions I could find online helped. My bobbin case would click into place perfectly when empty but not when there was a bobbin inside. I found out that it was because the bobbin was falling slightly forward, out of the bobbin case as I inserted it into the machine. In order to prevent this, it is necessary to insert the bobbin into the case, then pull open the spring-loaded door on the case. Firmly hold it open as you insert the bobbin case into the machine. This locks the bobbin into the bobbin case so that it cannot fall out. Voila, the case will now click into place! Hope this helps someone.

Bobbin case wont stay in place when I sew

Most bobbin cases have a latch that must be released to remove or install in the machine. Be sure to hold the latch open while you insert the bobbin case into the machine. Rotate the bobbin case slightly until it feels seated. Then release the latch. If the bobbin case is not latched in place, it will continue to fall out whenever you begin to sew.

Singer 8280 (prelude) I had 2 threads coming out from my bobbin area, so I decided to open it up and take a look. I accidentally took out the whole bobbin shuttle. The manual doesn't tell me how to...

Ok, hang on! This can get tricky! Remove the bobbin. Remove the presser foot and the needle. Remove the throat plate. This gives you plenty of room to monkey with your bobbin case. NOW, lay the bobbin case in its correct area and gently rotate it until it falls into place. It may take several tries. Once you're satisfied that it's secure, snap the holding clips into place and it should all fit nicely. THEN place your bobbin in the case correctly...check the diagram in the manual. Depending on the machine, some bobbins have the threads coming off counterclockwise and others have them coming off clockwise, but your manual should show. Sometimes, there's even a diagram on the throat plate or the bobbin case as well.
Good luck. Hope this works. If this solves your problem, please come back and rate my answer!

My bobbin thread is looping around inside the machine. I can't take it apart. Any advice?

your bobbin case is not being placed in all the way or else something is causing it to fall out of place so it is not in sync with the needle

Installing the hook and bobbin assembly.

The plastic bobbin case should sit on top of the raceway, it should slot in quite easily, once the bobbin case is in put the small metal clip at the top over to hold it in place.
