I was given a Sanyo DVDVCR DVW 6100. However, they didn't include an owners manual and the Sanyo/Fischer web site doesn't have one listed probably because they no longer make this model.
Anyway, I have a DirecTV satellite receiver. How do I hook up the audio? I've tried several variations and nothing works. The video plays but not the audio.

If the Sylvania tv is a CRT (old style tube tv) you can just use an RCA cable and hook it into the composite video. It will be the cable that has a red, white and yellow connectors on it. The yellow is the video, the red is the right audio and the white is the left audio. Connect ones side of this cable to the output of the DVD/TAPE player and to the input on the TV side.
There doesn't appear to be an online manual for this particular model, but the instructions for the DVW 7100 should be similar. Below I have posted a link to download this manual.
I hope this helps (and works!)
