You have to find the XP drivers for each individual component since HP doesn't want you to downgrade to XP. Your specs can be found at:

I can't get that link to copy over, so typ everything from http until =Windows XP in your address bar.
The HP site doesn't seem to be component-specific on any others, but If you know what Win XP is trying to install, but can't find the drivers for, google those, and a few more dowloads later you should be golden.

obtain the driver from cd/dvd that was included as you purchased your desktop and try to check if the driver supports with the operating system you are using now. for example the driver available in your cd/dvd is only for windows xp and your operating system you are using now is windows vista of course driver not installed. try to download from internet the driver that are suite to your unit model and current operating system this can fixed your problem or else downgrade your os tha can support the driver that are available from your cd/dvd.

The drivers are for Intel NIC, Belkin Wireless NIC, or Broadcom NetXtreme Gigabit so your hardware specs will matter.
