Download the Chipset drivers.

Get onlineand got to www.google.com In the google search box type: "IBMSupport" or "Lenovo Support" (without the quotes and put your manufacturer name before Support). Look for downloads and drivers. Enter your model number and operatingsystem when requested. Download and install the Chipset drivers.

Pci bus 4 device 0 function 0

Hello,
GO to the device manager and uninstall the PCI bus driver. Restart your computer. Windows will generate the generic drivers. Update the drivers. You can either do it manually or automatically. If you decide to update them automatically, then install RadarSync.

I am having difficulty obtaining drivers O 3000 N100 OS XP Base System Device PCI bus 5, device 6, function 2 Base System Device PCI bus 5, device 6, function 3 Base System Device...

Base System Device drivers are usually installed by what the manufacturer calls "Chipset" drivers. If you are running Windows XP, there is an Intel Chipset driver available at the Lenovo Support Page for your model. If you are running an Operating System other than Windows XP, I would go to the above page and compare the drivers listed there with what you are seeing in Device Manager. Install the ones that are missing. Hope this helps!

I had already install but there is some exclamation remain in computer management like ? PCI device and ? sm bus controller

This is what we are here for: to help you. Now I will need some info. in order that we can make a duplication of your problem: Name of computer, Model number, MB ID and your story of what happened in detail, the more the better. To get the MB ID you have to play a little detective because it is hidden in between the white PCI sockets. The letters are so profound that you cannot miss it. If per chance they move the place, look at the upper right corner, around the RAM memory sockets. Thank you for considering our service...

Missing ethernet controller+Pci device+ sm bus controller

PCI Modem is your dial up modem, Ethernet Controller is your Network Card, and SM Bus Controller is your Motherboard Chipset drivers. There missing because your Operating System has Either Corrupt Drivers or they were never installed in the first place. Sounds like a fresh installation was done and nobody bothered to look in the device manager to see if any hardware drivers were missing.

PCI device and SM Bus controller

Hi Hubert,

You need to go into the BIOS, just tap F8 on startup, and navigate to the sound settings, by using the arrow keys etc. Then press enter on that and it'll let you choose between PCI sound or the onboard sound. Choose PCI, press enter, Save to CMOS and Exit.
The sound should work now, provided you have installed the driver for the sound card.

Hope this helps
