If you have the remote control for the unit, or can buy one then you can reset the code. Just ask me how...

SOURCE: New KDC-135 has Power but Faceplate won't light up

you shold always twist the end of the wiring together and tape them never use connectors, remove the connectors and twist the wires driectly to each other and tape them wiht electrical tape, the connectors almost always can not deliver the proper voltage..

Did you make sure you have the yellow to a constant connect wire and the red to a turn on?if not this can cause the radio not to work......

you can test wich is wich by turning the key off and putting the yellow to the one you think it is and red to the one you think it is, if you have have it right you will hear the CD player make a click run sound...... if not you will not hear any thing.

SOURCE: need color codes for a kenwood kdc- 122p head unit in dash.

Hi there,
Generally you can find these manuals freely available at the manufacturers website, however it usually take ages worth of searching and i thought id save you the hassle,
Head to this link for your units entire manual.. Page 17 i think it is exactly.
http://www.cartoys.com/cartoy/pdfs/kdc-122s_manual.pdf

There a good little unit but sold a few when i was working in the industry.

Otherwise generally you can pick up pre wired pugs that adapt the cars harness via one plug to the back of the stereo avoiding any splicing. If youre interested in them head to this website,

Hope this helps,
Have a happy easter
Cheers

SOURCE: need wiring harness for kenwood kdc-mp225

Okay there are 2 possible solutions depending on your problem

Number 1
If its the lead that plugs into the back of the headunit then this is the page you need Click Here All you have to do is choose the one you need! just look at how many pins there are pretty simple to work out

Number 2
If its the lead that plugs in from your car loom to the headunit loom then you need to look here and pick out your car

This will solve your problems :)

My kenwood car cd player keeps flashing prtection?????

Either you have a bad cd player with a bad power supply or the power connections behind the radio in the main harness is not connected properly or there is a short somewhere in the back of the radio.A power wire is probably touching ground or grounding out somewhere.

Good luck.

Which wire is my amp power wire on a kenwood kdc-x617

hey mate,

You will need to run independent power and ground wires for the amp, then run your RCA leads from your headunit to your amp, the trigger wire to turn your amp on and off with the headunit is the pink and black wire in the kenwood wiring harness...

Hope this helps

Don't play any music

Is there an orange "dimmer" wire missing? I found out the hard way,
using and older harness, that it needed an additional power wire.
If I remember correctly, it goes in directly under the ground wire,
in the next row.
Hope I helped
Wendy
