Played it,put it away,went back to play it again and it wouldnt work.guitar light just flashes
On the face of your 360 is a little round button that tells the system to search for wireless controllers. Push it at the same time you push the connect button on your guitar or drums. I figured this out after returning two other systems to Wal-Mart.... They really should put this info in the instructions somewhere! Tell me if it works for you guys too.
On the wireless 360 guitar, the connect button is a little white circle embedded in the recessed region where the jack plug would go on the real guitar. I tried pressing it and the xbox connect button and the green X button in various orders and for various lengths of time until suddenly it all worked. When the light on the guitar changes from flashing to circling, you know you've got it. Good luck! Amazing that this simple fix isn't posted on EA's Rock Band support site...
The most likely problem is that you may have to reconnect the guitar to the 360. You'd first start by finding the connect button on both your 360 and guitar (only if your guitar is wireless).You would then first press the connect button on your 360 and then press the connect button on your guitar. They should connect. To make sure it is properly working try and connect your guitar first before your regular controller.

the guitar wont evan turn on when i plug it in

i have the wired guitare and when i turn my system on the drums power up but the guitar does not!
I have the WIRED guitar as well. The green light flashes on the guitar, but does not say it is connected.
