Question about Kenmore 24 in. 15689 Built-in Dishwasher

Kenmore Quietguard 3 has mold and is dirty inside

I have had problems with this washer from the start. I have had the motor replaced and Sears repair out twice. On the normal wash cycle it runs for hours and the dishes still aren't clean. After running the dishwasher is dirty inside and now has mold growing inside. I no longer use it, but can't afford a new one at this time.

G'day, I have a Miele Dishwasher and I have only had one small problem with it in the 12 years I have own it. That was due to moving house, a bit of fluff had moved and was blocking an outlet. once cleaned with a brush it now works like new again. Best dishwasher on the market, made to last 20 years.

Hello,

Since that you let repairman do twice and didn't fixed the problem, I think your washer have still warranty from the vendor. and they repair it free.

Please verify the panel board of the machine maybe got grounded in the wiring or got wet. How ever you can do that in your own you should consult the repairman on that matter. however the two repairman did not resolve, so its better to bring the washer's to the vendor. im sure they can fix the issue or you will be enlightened by their valuable suggestion and solution.

Kenmore elite E3t F11 error code

The "F11" fault code will display if the Motor Control Unit (MCU) has an internal failure; repeating under or over voltage, or over current conditions. If failure occurs during high speed spin the door unlocks after 3 minutes. The MCU (Motor Control Unit) is located beside the motor. See images below. Key #13 is the CCU and key #1 is the MCU.

The CCU (Central Control Unit) is located under the top along the side panel.

I recommend checking for loose wire connections at the MCU, CCU and motor. If you do not get any motor action at all, the MCU has likely failed.NOTE: Disconnect the power cord from the power source before removing the top and lower access panel. I recommend calling a service technician to diagnose and repair your washer.

I have a Tromm Washer and Dryer. Washer cycle time taking twice as long as time on indicator. Mildew smell still there after I have cleaned filter and run wash cycle. Drum vibrates horribly on spin...

You may have a problem with the motor sensor. Replace the motor sensor and it should take care of the problem. As for the mold issue, purchase some washing machine cleaner and follow directions. It should take care of most of the smell issue. Good luck

seems like the diagnostic board maybe kinda playing up on you there some run on a firmware that checks everything even while its running some washers even offer a way to update the firmware some place with a USB port if the washer offers no update to its firmware then it may need to be replaced by kenmore

SUD- Suds lock (Overdose of detergent detected during the wash cycle, or the actual brand is a non HE type)

The Motor Control Unit senses a suds lock condition by analyzing the current draw on the drive motor. If "Sud" is displayed a potential Suds Lock is detected. This may signify a bad pump, an extra heavy load, excessive detergent, or excessive suds.

Possible Causes / Procedure

• If too much detergent was used:

A. Run the unit through a Rinse/Spin cycle.
B. Run a Normal cycle without adding any detergent.

This should clear the unit of the excess detergent. If the problem persist, follow this check list below.

1. Check the drain hose and make sure it is not plugged or kinked.
2. Unplug washer or disconnect power.
3. Check wire harness connections to the drain pump, pressure switch, and Central Control Unit (CCU).
4. Check/clean drain pump filter of foreign objects.
5. Plug in washer or reconnect power.
6. Check drain pump.
7. Check the pressure switch.
8. Verify CCU operation by running a Diagnostic test or any cycle.

Press PAUSE/CANCEL twice to clear the display.

Washer wont rinse,spin or drain

you might have a problem with the lid switch..there is a plunger on the bottom side of the lid, close to the front edge which operates the lid switch..if the switch is broken, it probably has become torn apart so, if you can identify the two wires that would've been on the switch, you can just twist them together, tape them and the machine will operate normally, until you can get the switch from Sears... because I have a service contract with Sears, I don't pay for the repair (twice) they normally charge dearly both for the part and labor..
