I am having a problem with the Olympus lens zooming in and out when the camera is switched on, even when new batteries are installed.
When it was working, I could only get about 12 shots before the battery low warning light came on. I am using appropriate batteries.
I see a similar problem was posted in August 2006 but no solution seems to have been found.
Any progress onm this

This would need to be serviced something is wrong with the auto focus and this is inside the lens housing. I would take it into a camera shop and have the examin the autofocus.
The exactttt same thing happened to me. I think i still have a warranty on it, and every body has been trying to help me, but it seems the camera is just retarded- and just needs to be replaced
