jim5944, It depends on how old the unit is and if you would think it was a cost effective fix for the unit. You will be the deciding factor in the fate of the MW22U. To change the "cold-cathode-fluorescent-lamps" the unit will need to be stripped down to be able to cut loose the ends of the
lamps from the silicone sealer used to mount them to the lcd panel. Before installing new lamps they should be BENCH TESTED to prove that the new ARE NOT doing what the OLD ONES were doing! If new act same as old then the power supply/inverter supply may also need REFURBISHMENT!!!
