Question about Panasonic Palmcorder PV-DV203 Mini DV Digital Camcorder
I haven't used mine for over 2 years because of the mildew detected warning and not being able to find anyone to fix it for me. I just found this on the internet and am going to try it when my battery charges. Seems this is a common error for these palmcorders... good luck! "When you get the "Dew Detected" sign on the screen, remove the battery, give it a good palm hit on the bottom where the battery sits. Hit it a couple good times, put the battery back in and voila it will work guaranteed! I thought it was dumb at first, tried it and it works, hell it works everytime. The blow dryer, plastic bag trick dont work because its an electrical error, not actual dew."

MY PANASONIC MINI DV HAS A RESET BUTTON. IF YOU OPEN THE SIDE DOOR. THERE IS A TINY RESET BUTTON IN THE UPPER RIGHT SIDE. CAN ONLY BE RESET WITH A VERY SMALL SHARP POINTED OBJECT. UNFORTUNATELY, I KNOW THIS BECAUSE MINE KEEPS SAYING RESET.

There is no reset button - the product cannot be reset - sorry. Try using a blowdrier to make sure there is no moisture.

tengo el mismo proble en la pantalla dice Daw Detected que es lo que puedo hacer??
My dv camcorder had the same problem. I had it stored for more that 6 months in the closet, once I took it out and turned it on, it did not want to play for more than 4 seconds. However, after following the advice of tapping with my palm it where the battery hook ups, It worked afterwards!! No joke! Thanks for the advice, I thought it would cost an arm n leg!! who ever thought!
