My tail light fuse on my92 s-10 just keeps on blowin and when it blows my tail lights and my inside dash lights doint work, howcome it would b doin that??

Check your tail light and other running light sockets for corrosion.
Pull each and every bulb to check it, also check the back side of the socket.
(Your headlights are not part of this circuit.)
Rust or water with rust will conduct enough current to blow the fuses.
Please revert back to the 20 amp fuse, as you may damage the wires leading to the bulbs in places you won't be able to find or fix.
It's unlikely that it's one of the actual light bulbs, all light bulbs tend to go open instead of shorted, but you can check them too.

1992 dash and tail lights not working

Im having the same problem now. Let me know if you find a solution please. By jumping the orange wire to the red, my dash and taillights came on but i tried wiring them together with a fuse connected to the new wire and crimped both ends so I didn't have to cut and splice since there's not much wire to work with.. and well the lights would come on but blow the fuse everytime I turned them off

Brake lights work but tail lights won't work with front lights which are needed at night on 2000 Chevy Malibu! When inspected, everything was fine until inspector changed my left tail light. Now tail...

The Tail lights and Instrument lights are usually on the same circuit so both will go out if the fuse for the circuit blows. Check for a blown fuse for this circuit and replace if out. If fuse continues to fail, check the tail light or side globes for a faulty globe and replace if necessary. Also check for any chafed wires that could be shorting to the body causing the fuse to blow.

Dashboard lights and rear exterior running lights not working. blinkers, flashers, and brake lights work. regular tail lights won't work. Not finding a blown fuse. not finding any fuse listed as "tail...

the fuse is labled 'brake'

I would replace the fuse... and then have someone stand to the rear of the vehicle and watch the lights come on as I applied the brake... if the fuse blows again... note which tail light did NOT come on durring this test and replace the bulb.. it is grounding to itself and causing the short.

Tail lights not working

Do you have dash lights? If not chk. fuse. If you do have dash lights chk. bulbs. if bulbs ok, chk. wires and taillight plug. Does it have a trailer light plug? chk. that too. If all that chks. out ok than you will have to trace the wires from front to rear to find the problem. fuses should be labled on inside fuse cover, inside cab, and under hood same way.

DASH AND TAIL LIGHS DONT WORK

Check and see if you have trailer wiring on your truck. If so you do it may have a wire that is rubbed though the isulation and grounding on the body and shorting the circuit blowing the fuse. High resistance in a circuit is what blows fuses.
