My fisher paykel dryer does not dry properly. I have to run 2 cylces to make the clothes dry

  • Anonymous Dec 20, 2008

cleaned vent dryer isn't geting hot

  • doug cain Dec 23, 2008

If you are getting no heat at all i found a small red switch that resets the heating element. I was having this issue and then also moved my vent tube around. This solved my problem for a while. Now i get heat consistently (several months) but the clothes take several trys, as others have noted. I did take apart the insides and vacuum all the lent out as well. Again worked fine for a short time but back to the same ol' stuff. ANNOYING! So now my wife and drape clothes throughout the house and wait for something to get this EXPENSIVE dryer running right again. ARGHHHHH!

After further investigation it was not just my vent tube that was clogged, it was the vent to the outside. it you are having drying problems, try to take a long screwdriver and vacuum and knock the fuzz loose and **** it up. dryer works like brand new now.

If you have to run the dryer 2 to 3 times as long to dry the clothes then you just need to make sure the vent hose behind the dryer isn't kinked up and the vent is open all the way out side ,,, that will fix it for you.

F&P ED56 has 2 problems

Yes, (2) certainly sounds like the start/run capacitor has failed. You will see it has a split or bulging case, or a displaced end cap. Replace it with one of the same voltage rating and capacitance.

I can't advise you on (1)

My Fisher Paykel washing machine works well but seems to need two spins to dry properly all of a sudden, blocked pump?

It can be due to insufficient RPM of the dryer or due to water logging within the drum.
Please check this link for tips:Pump
Check the drive for jamming of the spindle.

My Fisher Paykel degx1 heats but doesn't run long enough to dry, clothes still damp. I set to extra dry, still no luck. Thermostat, and a couple other parts just recently replaced.

Hi,

If your dryer is not drying like it once did or if you just have nottaken the time to give yourself a clean dryer in a long time then youneed to do that. At least once a year the dryer cleaning should takeplace. Lint build up in the dryer duct is one of the main causesfor your dryer to fail.

Auto dry not cutting off when clothes are dry

Go to http://fisherpaykelparts.net/techhelp/fisher-paykel-top-load-dryers-us-models/ This forum will work you through your problem. Your problem should either be dirty or bad connections with the contact continuity plates, the chrome things under the lint bucket or the control circuit.

Clothes not dry

check your dryer venting from the machine to the outside vent,if they are plugged it will not dry properly, then make sure you have good air flow to vent on machine,if not dismantle and clean lint from inside machine, these are inexpensive fixes, then it could be a cycling switch or the humidity sensor bar that needs replace

My ge wont dry clothes it takes 2 hours

Check the exhaust duct. It's best to have a short run and no obstructions. It's also possible that a heating element could have been damaged in the move.

Squealing Fisher Paykel Dryer DE05-US2

dryer's have a long belt that runs around the drum. a common culprit is an idler pulley on the belt tensioner. you can take off the front of the dryer and oil it for a temp fix. it will probably need to be replaced
