Hav a pioneer deh p80 mp. when my amp and is connected to the stereo and the car is turned on. there is humming noise and the sound of the engine come out from my sub. and this dont go away until i turn...

Hello M8

lots of things can do this and the installation is the most common issue.

some simple rules:

never install the powercable and RCA cables together on the same side of the car.

keep the rca cables as far as possible from other wires if possible.

ground cable not grounded propably (Clean metal surface on chassi)

bad RCA cables eg: broken/Loose (Use shielded cables)

use the same diameter on both possitive and negative powercable

it could be a problem with either amp or sterio too if everything above is ok

Canon MP 648 suddenly appeared a message: ERROR 5012, then after the power off and turned on again appears ERROR 5050. Printer error has occurred. TURN POWER OFF THEN BACK ON AGAIN. SEE IF THE PROBLEM...

From the service manual, both errors relate to the scanner unit:

[5012] An error occurred in the scanner FB motor.
(1) Cable connection (2) Part replacement: - Scanner unit

[5050] The AFE was faulty.
(1) Cable connection (2) Part replacement: - Scanner unit

I don't know if the following YouTube video will help, but you could watch and see if it applies to your printer.

Error 5011 and 5012 Printer Canon MG 2570 MP 237 MP258

Windows xp wont recognize usb connection from rave. Is there a driver I need?

If you're using the retractable usb cable that came with the player, replace it. I had the same problem. XP recognized that there was a device, but couldn't open it. I was getting a "Driver not installed" error in device manager.

How to connect surround sound system, at the moment its connected through cable, each time we use the dvd player we have take them out of the cable box then into the dvd player, we have a LG 42PC55 tv.

In order of picture and sound quality -- from best to worst:

1. The best way to connect, assuming your TV and A/V Receiver and/or Cable Box have the jacks, is to use a HDMI cable ( this cable is for both sound and video).

2. Use Component Video out to input (3 RCA plugs, Red, Blue & Green) along with RCA Audio out to input (2 RCA plugs for stereo - 1 for mono).

3. Use S-Video out to input (1 din plug) along with RCA Audio out to input (2 RCA plugs for stereo - 1 for mono).

4. Use Video out to input (1 RCA plug, yellow) along with RCA Audio out to input (2 RCA plugs for stereo - 1 for mono).

Be sure to select the correct inputs on your TV and Audio/Video receiver when you are watching TV. For example if you have connected your TV to HDMI 1 and DVD to HDMI 2, you will not see or hear anything if you don't select the correct input on your TV and A/V receiver for the input you want to see and hear.

Detailed connection instructions will be found in your owners' manuals.

Hope this helped you. :)

Ilo won't turn on.....

Remove the battery. While this isn't necessary to get the player into recovery mode, it insures the unit will not power on before the cable is inserted. On the iLO, hold the "Power" button down while inserting the USB cable. Continue holding the power button down for 5 seconds more after the cable is inserted. The backlight on the iLO will remain off during this time, making the screen appear to be blank. An hourglass should appear on you computer and Windows should say, "Found new Hardware 'SMTP3500". Launch the Rave-MP firmware update program (Start>Programs>Rave-MP> Firmware) Click "Get Firmware". Select "iLO256" and let it download new firmware. Click "OK" when prompted. Click "Update Firmware". It will now search for the iLO. This may take a while depending on how corrupted the firmware is, so be patient. After it has found the iLO, it will say, "A device has been detected in recovery mode and is being initialized. Please wait." The iLO should come back to life and start showing it's glorious "USB Connected" screen. The "Firmware Update" window should appear. Select "Format Data Area" to rid the player of corrupted firmware data. And click "Start". It can take anywhere from 2 to 4 minutes to re-flash the iLO and the program might appear to have locked up, but it hasn't. So don't close the program or disconnect the iLO! Why are you still reading this? Great, did something happen? Well, If the program fails to find the iLO and gives you an error like, "Device Timeout" or something similar, you need to reinstall the iLO drivers. This can be done by inserting the iLO cable into a USB port it has never been plugged into before. Or you can reinstall the drivers by reinstalling the Rave-MP program. (Remove it, restart the computer, and then install it again). Plugging it into a new USB port is the fastest and easiest option though. SD Card

Mine works with 2GB card... AFAIK, that's the max, although I haven't tried a 4GB card.

I found updated firmware at:

http://uiss.max.io/

*update*  site has not been updated and download links not working... useful info there nonetheless... I will put the file(s) on my site:

http://french.moren.ca/rave-mp/Rave-MP-Install.zip

http://french.moren.ca/rave-mp/iLO256Manual.pdf

expect them up there by Oct. 20/07...

the ILO player referred to there is electronically identical, if not physical and the update works with all the Rave MP AMP series. I had a hard time finding this but it was worth the effort.

works great :-)
