I have charged the batteries, when I put it in the sweaper and push the on button it won't start?????

this sounds totally silly but is the power button on the vacuum actually off? Had the same problem, where the battery was completely empty i didn't know my son had switched the vacuum on put it on charge and the light was flashing. I took it off the charging stand pressed the power button then put it back....now charging perfectly. Anyone who doesnt have this appliance will think you sound stupid but its just a clicky button so visually the button looks the same on or off.

Lift Roomba off the floor and place it in the center of the room and restart the clean cycle.

If you have your receipt, check with Ryobi to see if it is still under warranty. It comes with either a 2 or 3 year warranty, depending on when it was purchased. If it is still covered, get it replaced/repaired. If it is not, buy the P117 charger. $30 at Home Depot. It has a 90 day satisfaction guarantee. If it charges your batteries properly, you're good. If not, bring it back if you don't like/want it. My P113 won't get out of test mode now, or charge Lithium batteries anymore. So I bought the P117 yesterday. Works great, and it's a lot cheaper than new batteries! And it has a 3 year warranty.

If you're sure the battery contacts are clean and the battery really is charged, then there is faulty circuitry within the Roomba that would have to be repaired or replaced.

Confirm that the battery is inserted with the metal contacts down so they make contact with the spring terminals in the battery compartment.

For the moment, please connect the power adapter directly to the Roomba rather than the docking station to eliminate one possible faultly connection.

If the battery wasn't fully charged, or you weren't able to test it, try to charge the Roomba and then retest the battery voltage if you can. If the battery voltage was higher immediately after charging, but didn't get to 14 volts, the charger is good, but battery needs to be replaced. If the battery voltage was unchanged after attempting to charge the Roomba, the charging circuitry may be faulty. If you have no voltmeter and you cleaned the contacts and tried to charge the Roomba and it works, use the Roomba and then recharge using the docking station and see if it was just dirty contacts or it won't charge through the docking station. If it didn't work, you'll need to figure out if its the battery, the charging circuitry in the Roomba, or the power adapter. If there are no lights when you try to charge the Roomba, then Either the power adapter or the Roomba power circuitry is defective, but without a voltmeter you can't find out which one, and there's no way to know if the battery is good or bad, but you know Roomba wasn't trying to charge it. If there are lights when you try to charge the Roomba, then at least you know the power adapter is good. Unfortunately, without being able to test something there's no way to distinguish between a charger that won't deliver a charge to the battery and a battery that won't accept a charge. If you want to take a guess then a bad battery is more common and less expensive to fix.

Your battery is losing voltage too quick. It has probably developed a 'memory'. Dyson claims that their handheld has the best suction out of all the handhelds out there. In order to maintain that claim the circuit board will shut off power to the motor when the voltage drops below adequate charge for full suction.
We need someone who can teach us to bypass that part of the circuit so it won't cut power to the motor or you need to replace the battery.
Shorting the battery like an Aircraft battery then re-charging won't fix it.

You have to do is:
Check the battery if it is leak.Use a voltmeter to test the output voltage of the battery.If your battery had a low supply voltage even you charge it for 3 hours and above.Replace the battery immediately.

Do you leave the battery on charge long enough? Try 4-hours up to overnight. If so, then the battery is probably at the end of it's useful life. Getting a new battery depends on cost versus life expectancy of the robot and whether it does the job you want it to do.
