pls. cheks your tv main supplay pin is proper canacted.
IF ok .
then problum is inside of the tv set.
check EHT out put voltage pin Diode /ragistance/ capeceter is filed.
any out put voltage from EHT is Droping. then TV is swithed off by itself

I think this is one of the TV's that wont work as part of the Digital Switchover as it's too old. My Brother has the same TV and has had to buy a new Set top box to get Freeview.

Is their a speaker or something electronic or electrical near the tv? Move it away, if there is, and see what happens.

I think the problem with the remote control it malfunction take the remote control away from the tv
and test the tv

I had the same problem and one time the tv came on by itself
now i took the remote control away and testing the tv
now for 15 min. so far so good

I did not know that the Sony FS series has digital capability. This is supposed to be the most basic model of CRT flat screen TV that Sony made.

You can get a digital cable or satellite box that outputs analog baseband or component analog video and analog audio. You can then connect this box in to the TV set. The TV will then display the analog signal from the digital box.

If your cable or sat box is able to tune in standard channels, but cannot tune in the ones that are on digital service, then the fault is with the box, or the cable or sat system. This you should address to the TV service provider.

yes select tv on sky r/c and press info, it will go.

on original sony remote press the DISPLAY button once
